Mi 12 series detail
Xiaomi has already revealed that the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro would be powered by the newly released Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 12X, the successor to the Mi 11X, is expected to use the same Snapdragon 870 SoC. According to prior reports, the company may debut the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro, and Xiaomi 12X, codenamed L3, L2, and L3A, respectively, at the December 28 event.
The Xiaomi 12 series will be separated into two types: the vanilla and Pro models will feature regular-looking camera bumps, while the Ultra model will have a large bump covered in cameras and other sensors. But, for the time being, let’s stick with the vanilla model, as comprehensive CAD-based renders have been shared by @OnLeaks and Zoutons.
The renders show a fairly normal three-camera setup with a dual-LED flash. This camera bump is said to have a unique coating, though this has yet to be confirmed. According to the sources, the phone will have a 50 MP camera, however, it is unclear which sensor will be used.
In any case, the front has a 6.2″ display, which is a welcome change from the Mi 11’s 6.81″ display. It will have a 1080p+ resolution and curved left and right sides, just as the current model.
The Xiaomi 12 was approved with 67W charging and a 4,500 mAh battery, though Zoutons suggested 100W charging with a 5,000 mAh battery. Given that the larger Mi 11 has only 4,600 mAh in its tank, this could be for the Pro model instead.
