Samsung Galaxy M33 5G
Samsung has secretly revealed the Samsung Galaxy M53 5G, its next affordable smartphone.
The new phone debuted on the Samsung mobilepress website with high-resolution renders and all specifications, but without the pomp that its more expensive brothers receive.
Despite this, the Samsung M53 5G appears to have a lot going for it, with a 108-megapixel camera sensor being the star of the show.
Design and Display: Samsung Galaxy M53 5G
In terms of design, the Galaxy M53 5G appears to be based on the Galaxy M33 5G‘s camera configuration, which is quite identical in terms of positioning, bump size, and LED flash unit.
There are comparable bezels and a punch-hole selfie camera on the front, as there are on the A53 5G.
The screen is a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED+ panel with an FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, which is significantly different on the inside.
The display characteristics are identical to those of the A73 5G, which also has a 108-megapixel primary camera.
An octa-core processor with two cores running at 2.4GHz and six cores running at 2GHz powers the phone.
Processor
The chipset isn’t specified in Samsung’s listing, but it’s thought to be MediaTek’s Dimensity 900.
The M53 has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage to go with it. MicroSD cards of up to 1TB capacity can be used for additional storage.
The battery is a hefty 5000 mAh unit with 25W fast charging capabilities. It’ll come preloaded with Android 12 and have Bluetooth 5.2, dual-band Wi-Fi, and, as the name suggests, 5G connectivity.

Unfortunately, no pricing or availability information has been released. If its predecessor is any indication, we should expect it to be well under the £200/$300/Rs27000 threshold, which we think is a great deal.
