OnePlus is getting ready to release a new mid-range smartphone. It’s named the OnePlus Nord 2T, and now a render of its allegedly strange design has appeared online.
The front of the gadget has a totally typical design, with a flat screen and a punch hole in the upper left corner, as shown in this photograph shared by filter Yogesh Brar. Things begin to change behind the scenes.
OnePlus Nord 2T camera module design
Three sensors are located in the rectangular camera module. One of them is the standard size and is located at the top. A tiny lens occupies some space at the bottom, as does a nearly undetectable sensor. To say the least, it’s an unusual approach.Apart from that, the OnePlus Nord 2T will keep something that has been synonymous with the company.
We’re referring to the alert button (alert slider), which will be absent from the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite, which the company is also planning to release. The OnePlus Nord 2T will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity engine, with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, according to Yogesh Brar.
It will include a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ compatibility, according to the company. There will be stereo speakers as well, but no 3.5mm jack input. On the rear, there’s a 50 megapixel primary camera, as well as an 8 megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2 megapixel monochrome camera. Selfies and video calls are taken via the front camera, which is contained in a 32 MP punch hole. The terminal will still have a 4,500 mAh battery and charge at 80 W. It should come pre-installed with Android 12 and OxygenOS 12.1 on top.
When will the OnePlus Nord 2T be available for purchase?
Although OnePlus hasn’t confirmed a debut date for the new Nord 2T, some websites are speculating that it will arrive in April or May. The date comes from famed tech tipster OnLeaks, who collaborated with Indian tech site 91Mobiles to give information about the upcoming gadget.Yogesh Brar, a leaker, agrees, but is a little more precise, predicting a date in late April or early May.
After the OnePlus 10 Pro, but before the Nord 3, 10R, and 10 Ultra, the phone will be released. The original OnePlus Nord 2 5G was released in the end of July 2021, thus an April/May release date doesn’t seem out of the question.
What is the price of the OnePlus Nord 2T?
According to current rumours, OnePlus will sell the Nord 2T in India for between 30,000 and 40,000 rupees. This is roughly equivalent to £300-£400, €350-€480, and US$400-$530. We expect a few variations, since the OnePlus Nord 2 5G comes in the following configurations:
27,999 for 6GB RAM + 128GB storage
£399/€399/29,999/$529 for 8GB RAM + 128GB storage
£469/€499/34,999/$629 for 12GB RAM + 256GB storage
The Nord 2T is likely to be priced similarly to the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G and any prospective successor to the OnePlus Nord N10 5G, since it must fit into the broader structure of OnePlus phones, which includes the new OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G and any potential successor to the OnePlus Nord N10 5G.
What new features will the OnePlus Nord 2T offer?
OnePlus has yet to announce the Nord 2T, but the leaks we’ve seen provide a lot of information about what to anticipate when the new model comes.
While OnePlus has yet to announce the phone’s design, leaker Yogesh Brar has teamed up with OnSiteGo to provide renderings of what he expects the device will look like.
Although shown below in grey/silver, the phone is expected to be available in two colours: black and blue. The classic OnePlus alert slider will be featured, and the back camera module will have a new design that is pretty odd.
OnePlus is expected to adopt the latest Dimensity 1300 chipset in the Nord 2T, according to processor rumours. Because MediaTek altered the previous design for greater power, this will be a step up from the Dimensity 1200 in the OnePlus Nord 2 5G.
It’s also probable that the 12GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage will help. OxygenOS 12 will be the operating system of choice, based on Android 12.
The Nord 2T, like the model it succeeds, is said to have a 6.43in Full HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400×1080. A 90Hz refresh rate will keep things flowing smoothly, however potential gamers may be disappointed that it lacks the 120Hz capabilities of certain competing phones.
On the back of most mid-range Android phones these days, triple optics are pretty much normal. So it’s no surprise that the Nord 2T is supposed to include a 50-megapixel primary camera, as well as 8-megapixel ultrawide and 2-megapixel monochrome (probably for depth) sensors. The front camera will use a punch-hole in the display to capture photographs with a 32MP sensor.
Because the camera configuration is the same as on the OnePlus Nord 2 5G, anticipate similar performance and capability in the photography sector.
Charging and battery
A 4500mAh battery and compatibility for 80W SuperVooc fast-charging, which is the same pace as the OnePlus 10 Pro, are rumoured to be among the new phone’s highlights. It won’t receive the 150W SuperVooc charging that sibling firm Oppo unveiled at MWC 2022 since it isn’t a flagship.
