The Snapdragon 888 processor from Qualcomm is still a popular choice for many top handsets. How can you get your hands on one of these chips, which promises major improvements in machine learning, photography, and other fields? So far, these are the greatest Snapdragon 888 phones available.

After all, who needs a Snapdragon 888 phone?

Just though the Snapdragon 888 is one of the greatest and most powerful chipsets available doesn’t mean it’s suited for everyone. When choosing a chipset for your phone, think about how much power and speed you’ll need.

If you’re a power user, a Snapdragon 888 phone is an excellent choice. These devices are generally equipped with a large amount of RAM (up to 18GB), allowing them to tackle almost any work you throw at them. SD888 phones are also excellent gaming phones, with adequate processing power to run even the most demanding Android games.

The Snapdragon 888 may be overkill for casual users.

A Snapdragon 888 phone, on the other hand, may be overkill if you’re a casual user who just uses it for simple chores like snapping photos, checking email, and skimming through social media. In terms of sheer power, at least. The Pixel 5a, with its Snapdragon 765G CPU, should be able to accomplish all of those easy activities with ease, and the phone still has a camera that rivals or exceeds those of phones with the Snapdragon 888 chipset.

But it’s not all about the chipset. There’s no reason why you shouldn’t acquire a phone like that if you’re a basic user who wants other capabilities that only flagships powered by the Snapdragon 888 have. You’ll have to pay, though.

Best Snapdragon 888 Phones

The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, the OnePlus 9 Pro , and the Xiaomi Mi 11  series are just a few of the Snapdragon 888 phones we’ve picked. To help you pick between these phones, we’ve compiled a list of key specifications such as screen size and type, Android OS version, maximum available ROM and RAM, expandability, and battery capacity.

Note: The following series is listed in chronological order, with the most recently released phones listed first and handsets powered by the Snapdragon 888 Plus processor listed last.

Xiaomi Mi 11 series

Mi 11 Ultra

As the first Snapdragon 888 phone, Xiaomi beat out the Galaxy S21 series. Outside of China, though, the Xiaomi Mi 11 took a few months to arrive. Despite having a little advantage over Samsung, the Mi 11 has an outstanding feature list of its own, as well as an impressive price tag to match.

A huge 6.81-inch display, a hefty 4,600mAh battery, and blazing 55W rapid charging are all on offer. Xiaomi also picked a triple camera array as the front-runner, with a 108MP main sensor at the top. A 20MP lens is located on the front for all of your selfie-taking requirements.

If you want to push your Xiaomi flagship even farther, now is the time to do it. Xiaomi has revealed the Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11 Pro, and Mi 11i, all of which feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 processor. Xiaomi’s Mi 11 Ultra is the company’s first phone to come with an IP68 rating out of the box, and that’s just the beginning.

If you choose for the expensive Mi 11 Ultra, you’ll notice the big camera bump right away. It has a 50MP primary camera and two 48MP lenses, as well as a tiny 1.1-inch secondary display on the camera bump. The Mi 11 Pro, which is essentially identical to the base model in many aspects, is also worth a look.

It also has an IP68 rating, and the display is the same size as the Mi 11. The Mi 11 Pro, on the other hand, has 67W wired and wireless charging, meaning you can get a full charge in just over half an hour.

OnePlus 9 Pro

Best snapdragon 888 Phones

Not only is the OnePlus 9 Pro one of the Snapdragon 888 phones, but it’s also the greatest OnePlus phone to date. It offers several benefits over its predecessors. Aside from the Snapdragon 888 processor, the 9 Pro boasts a number of high-end features, such as the Hasselblad Quad Camera system.

OnePlus has done everything right when it comes to lowlight photography, despite its lacklustre daylight performance. At night, you’ll get a lot of detail and some great colour calibration with this one. Other innovative features include 65W quick charging, which fills the 4500 mAh battery in just 29 minutes.

OnePlus did not compromise and delivers one of the finest Snapdragon 888 phones with an emphasis on quality and pricing, despite not being as well-known as smartphone giants like Samsung or Google.

Samsung Galaxy S21, S21 Plus, S21 Ultra

Phone with snapdragon 888 – Samsung Galaxy S21

Samsung wasn’t the first company to announce a Snapdragon 888 smartphone, but it’s one of the best ways to get the powerful technology into your hands. The Galaxy S21, S21 Plus, and S21 Ultra are all part of the Galaxy S21 series. The S21 Ultra has finally grown into its lofty label, with top-of-the-line features all around.

You’ll get at least three rear-mounted cameras and Samsung’s vivid phantom finishes regardless of the smartphone you select. However, if you buy the US version of the Galaxy S21, you’ll only get a Snapdragon 888 processor. Instead, international models use Samsung’s own Exynos 2100 processor. In any event, these phones will be strong and provide an excellent experience.

Furthermore, Samsung has just announced the Galaxy S21 FE. This phone retains the majority of the top Galaxy S21 features while simplifying the design. This contributes to the device’s cheap pricing, making it one of the greatest value-for-money options in the Galaxy S21 series.

Oppo Find X3 Pro

Oppo Find X3 Pro is another smartphone powered by Snapdragon 888. It was released on March 19th and has a starting price of € 1,149. This phone includes top-of-the-line features like as a fantastic back quad camera, a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1440 x 3216 pixels, and more.

Oppo also chose a stunning 6.7-inch Quad HD+ display that appears to lure you in while the Snapdragon 888 processor impresses. Even if the solitary downward-firing speaker is unimpressive, you should be happy with the 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The 4,500mAh battery performs admirably, and 65W SuperVOOC charging is difficult to beat.

Even though the Find X3 Pro has a fantastic four-camera array, we can only appreciate half of it. The 50MP cameras are sharp and produce nice images, but the telephoto and macro lenses are disappointing. With the current version of Color OS, you shouldn’t have any issues, indicating that Oppo is doing something correctly.

Sony Xperia 1 III

The Sony Xperia 1 III, which comes with a Snapdragon 888 processor, is, ironically, the greatest Sony phone on the market right now. While it lacks the camera quality of our top-rated Snapdragon 888 phone, the Sony Xperia 1 III outperforms the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra in two areas.

The first is the inclusion of a microSD expansion slot, which allows users to add as much storage memory as possible. The Xperia 1 III’s second benefit is more of a niche demand as multipoint Bluetooth headsets become more prevalent, but audiophiles who still use wired headsets will appreciate the addition of a 3.5mm audio port. Apart from these benefits, the Sony Xperia 1 III also comes with a more detailed screen and faster charging times.

Vivo X70 Pro Plus

The Vivo X70 Pro Plus, which is Snapdragon 888+ enabled, is our sixth Snapdragon 888 phone selection. Vivo may not be a household name in the United States, but it is swiftly establishing itself as one of China’s and Southeast Asia’s leading smartphone manufacturers. Vivo’s X70 Pro Plus, which is up against other Chinese behemoths like Huawei and Xiaomi, has the necessary specifications for the fight.

The X70 Pro Plus boasts an excellent performance across the board, thanks to its massive 512GB memory and 12GB of RAM, as well as the Snapdragon 888+ processor. The primary 50MP camera may not be able to compete with the 108MP main cameras on the Mi 11T Pro and Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G, but the secondary 8MP, 12MP, and 48MP cameras more than make up for it.

The Vivo X70 Pro Plus’s primary flaw is their customer service. Because it is mostly an Asian brand, it lacks a strong customer support network in the United States, which might be a major issue if technical issues occur when parts of the phone begin to fail or become damaged.

Realme GT 2

So far on this list, we’ve focused on flagship after flagship, but now it’s time to give your wallet a rest. The Realme GT2 is the most cost-effective option on this list. With its Snapdragon 888 CPU and up to 12GB of RAM, you might not think it’s a more economical alternative when looking at the spec sheet.

There’s also a 5,000mAh battery behind the hood that’s more about efficiency than quantity. Unfortunately, the phone does not support wireless charging. However, you do get 65W charging. The 6.62-inch screen, which boasts a 120Hz refresh rate, is very great.

OPPO recently announced the Find X5 series, which includes the Find X5 and Find X5 Pro, both of which have a similar design. The OPPO Find X5 is powered by a Snapdragon 888 processor with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage, and it is fueled by two series-connected battery cells with a total capacity of 4800 mAh.

Realme GT 5G

The GT 5G, the only really budget-friendly phone on this list, is produced by the Realme brand. Realme began as an OPPO cheap phone sub-brand, but it has now become an independent company that continues to focus on low-cost, high-quality phones. This focus can be seen on the GT 5G, which features a blend of older technology on top of the high-tech Snapdragon 888 CPU.

Realme GT’s selling pitch isn’t only that it boasts a Snapdragon 888 processor; it also features superb snappers. Realme GT can shoot images with good detail, balanced exposure, and outstanding contrast, yet we wouldn’t recommend it as a flagship phone.

Realme GT also comes with Dolby dual speakers, a 4500 mAh Li-Po battery, and a plethora of networking choices. They combine to make the Realme GT the flagship killer it claims to be.

Asus ROG Phone 5 and 5s series

phone with snapdragon 888

The Asus ROG Phone 5 series is ideal if you want additional proof of the intimate association between gaming phones and the Snapdragon 888. The powerful gaming device’s fifth generation now contains three versions, indicating that Asus has moved beyond the “Pro” moniker.

The Snapdragon 888 is included in all three of Asus’s new smartphones, and their spec sheets are practically similar. A 6.78-inch display, a triple back camera system, and gigantic 6,000mAh batteries are all in the cards. The changes, though, are in terms of RAM and storage.

You can have 18GB of RAM and 512GB of storage if you go for the pricier ROG Phone 5 Ultimate. The ROG Phone 5 Pro, on the other hand, has 16GB of RAM and the same amount of storage. The last choice is the ROG Phone 5, which comes with 8GB, 12GB, or 16GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.

No matter which way you look, this trio is your best chance for a gaming Snapdragon 888 phone. For an upgraded punch, check out the new Asus ROG Phone 5s series. They have the same features as the ROG Phone 5, however they use a Snapdragon 888 Plus processor.

Huawei P50 Pro

phones with snapdragon 888
KO

The Huawei P50 Pro comes in at the top of our list of the best Snapdragon 888 phones. Without getting into the nitty-gritty of current geopolitics, we must emphasise that trade restrictions have seriously hampered the P50 Pro. The P50 Pro may employ the Snapdragon 888 chipset, but it lacks 5G connection, making it much poorer than the preceding Huawei P40.

Another issue with this phone is that it does not have any Google services. Despite the numerous flaws in the P50 Pro, there are numerous reasons to like it, beginning with its luxury look. With its all-new Leica snappers with a unique dual-circle layout, Huawei has once again lifted the standard for its cameras.

Unless you are in the US, the Huawei P50 Pro is hard to give a pass.

Asus Zenfone 8 series

phones with snapdragon 888

With the new Zenfone 8 series, Asus chose to cover all bases by providing models with and without a pop-up selfie camera. Whichever route you choose, you’ll receive the powerful Snapdragon 888 SoC to keep you moving at maximum speed. Aside from the chipset, the Zenfone 8 and Zenfone 8 Flip have a lot of variations that might affect your experience.

The Zenfone 8 or asus 8z  is a more conventional phone with a punch hole front camera, a smaller 5.9-inch AMOLED display, and a 3.5mm headphone port. The Zenfone 8  Flip, on the other hand, features a 6.67-inch Gorilla Glass 6 display and a bigger 5,000mAh battery. You also get a pop-up camera with a 64MP lens, as well as 12MP and 8MP cameras.

The Asus 8z is a recently released phone featuring a Snapdragon 888 CPU and a 5.92-inch FHD+ (1080 x 2400) display. The Asus 8z has a dual camera system and is waterproof to IP68.

Remember that of these two Snapdragon 888 phones, the true flagship is the smaller one.
