Asus and Qualcomm have teamed up to make a smartphone that’s so super tricked out that might be a spec chaser’s dream come true.
the device is called the smartphone for snapdragon insiders and sure is ostensibly for the 1.6 million members of Qualcomm’s insider program but pretty much everyone can buy it when it rolls out in August.

that is if you have the fifteen hundred dollars to spare for that money you’ll be getting a device with the snapdragon 885g chipset.
which is Qualcomm’s most premium available, as well as a 6.78 inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 144 hertz and a few other bonuses for one thing Qualcomm,

says this is one of the first phones to support its new snapdragon sound platform which will allow for low Bluetooth latency different audio profiles and better active noise cancellation to that end the phone itself has stereo speakers
but you’ll also get a pair of mastering dynamic noise-canceling true wireless earbuds in the package.

some other Qualcomm technologies that the smartphone for snapdragon insiders showcases are things like 5g which we know the company is big

as well as quick charge alongside the snapdragon 888 chipset you also get 16 gigs of ram and 512 gigs of storage.
some key specifications

on its rear, this phone has three cameras a 64-megapixel primary one a 12-megapixel ultra-wide option, and an 8-megapixel telephoto which is pretty standard by now upfront.

though the selfie camera is 24 megapixels sharp and offers Ai based auto-zoom considering all of these features and the fact that the screen can go up to 1200 nits of brightness.

also the size of it all it’s a little concerning that the battery size here is just 4 000 milliamp hours plus the phone will run Android 11.

although Qualcomm has yet to confirm when and how long it plans to support updates.
so it’s unclear how long you’ll have to wait to update to android 12 when that rolls out to the public it’s clear that the smartphone for snapdragon insiders is basically a showcase for Qualcomm’s technology.

the company wants to remind people that it’s still here making mobile chips it’s facing stiffer competition from the likes of Samsung making its own Exynos chips.

a little bit better is xiaomi working on its own chips and google rumored to be working on its own under the code name project white chapel.

if you’re a fan of what qualcomm is doing and you want to support them by getting the smartphone for snapdragon insiders you can buy it in august for 14.999 $.
it’ll initially be available in countries like us uk japan and South Korea before arriving in India later and you’ll find it at Asus tech’s shop and other retailers.
